The First Taste

Directly outside the train station were the Baths of Diocletian, one of the many old relics of the Roman Empire built back in 300. Unfortunately, the baths were closed when we passed them early this morning, but I managed to snap a few photos from the outside (amid the familiar raindrops of Italy).

Directly opposite of the bath house is the Repubblica Teatro dell'Opera, a small square with a cool little fountain. We also stumbled across the U.S. Embassy while on our initial wandering. I didn't post any photos because a police officer gave me a disapproving look when I was taking them.
