Homemade Dinner

After the walking tour, we visited FlorenceForFun's office to get some more information on a couple of the weekend trips we were looking into. They look pretty cool – I definitely think we'll make it to at least a couple of places, but more on that later.

We decided to make dinner tonight, so we made another stop to the supermarket to pick up some things for a pasta dinner. CAPA provided us with a welcome package when we arrived, so we actually already had some pasta and sauce, but we ended up picking up some chicken, vegetables and bread. What was going to just be a dinner for seven, ended up being a dinner for the whole group of fourteen. Needless to say, we had to make a few more trips to the supermarket to pick up more food – and wine.

Unfortunately, I don't have too many pictures of the process because I was cooking the whole time, but I did manage to snap a photo of the final product. Overall, it was a lot of food; I now really appreciate the work that goes into preparing a meal for large quantities. Definitely not something I want to be doing on a regular basis.

After that, we just stayed in and talked for most of the night. The people in the program are great, and it was nice to get to know each other.
