Wake Up Sorrento
May 24, 2013 08:30

This morning we had a nice breakfast in the hotel before walking down to the water where we would be catching a ferry to Capri. Italian breakfast is definitely different that what we are used to in America, but I'm certainly not complaining. They really value their sweets. Although the hotel also had cold cut sandwiches, fruit and cereal. Needless to say, there was plenty of food to get started for the day.

Aside from the cramped rooms, the hotel was actually really nice. From what we were told, the ground floor bar area and restaurant has become really popular in Sorrento on the weekends. Apparently, they didn't have a DJ set up for this weekend, but it looked like a great setup – they had lights and everything.

We didn't have much time in Sorrento this morning, but on our way to the ferry dock, I couldn't help but admire the unbelievably blue water surrounding the Amalfi Coast. I'm sure I'll mention this many more times, but it's truly remarkable. From what I saw, Sorrento is a pretty cool town. Hopefully I'll have time to explore at a later date.
