Today I had Engineering class in the morning before exploring the trends of food consumption of Florence in the afternoon. Later that evening, I went to Artigianato e Palazzo, a showcase of skilled craftsmen in an awesome garden before eating dinner at Trattoria del Carmine, a great restaurant on the south side of the Arno River. I had a delicious pesto pasta that was truly flavorful. Nothing like the watered down pesto in American restaurants.

After the Engineering course this morning, we headed over the Mercato Centrale, Florence's Central Market featuring a labyrinth of fresh produce, meat, fish, dried fruit and restaurants. Lorenzo let us know about the Artigianato e Palazzo that was going on tonight over at the Gardens of the Palazzo Corsini. The annual event showcases some 80 highly skilled craftsmen who recreate their workshops right in the garden.
