The Volcano

After visiting the city of Pomeii, we hiked up to Mount Vesuvius. And by "hiked", I mean our bus drove us up the majority of the incline, and we had about a twenty minute hike to the peak. Either way, it was really cool. Figuratively and literally.

I guess I should have guessed that it would have been a bit chilly 4,200 feet above sea level, but I certainly didn't prepare for it. My shorts and light jacket didn't really help against the cold gusts of wind. But, the view was fantastic, and it was definitely worth it.
